Servicing, WOF & EWOF
Most vans come to us for one of three things and leave having had all three done. Your warrant of fitness, your electrical warrant and your gas certificate all fall due at different times, and chasing them separately means three bookings and three trips.
We do the lot in one visit.
What's covered
Warrant of Fitness
Electrical Warrant of Fitness (EWOF)
Gas certification
Full service and safety check - brakes, bearings, couplings, lights, tyres, seals
Repairs, from a sticking door lock to floor and wall rebuilds
Food trailers, same as any van
Solar installs & repairs
Solar is the difference between a two-night stay and a two-week one.
We size the system to how you actually travel – how many days off-grid, what you’re running, whether you’re chasing sun or shade – rather than selling you the biggest panel that fits the roof.
What's covered
New solar systems: panels, regulator, batteries and wiring, installed and tested
Upgrades to existing setups – more panels, lithium conversion, better regulation
Fault-finding and repairs on systems that aren’t charging like they should
EWOF on completion, so it’s certified the day it’s fitted
Diesel heater installs & repairs
A diesel heater turns a three-season van into a four-season one.
Dry heat, low draw on the batteries, and it keeps going long after the campground power’s run out. We install them properly – sealed, vented and secured – and we fix the ones that have stopped working.
What's covered
New diesel heater installs, ducted where it makes sense
Webasto, Eberspächer and all the main brands
Repairs and servicing on existing heaters – glow plugs, pumps, error codes
Already bought your own heater? Get in touch before you book and we’ll let you know if it’s one we can fit
Self-containment
Self-containment certification is what lets you freedom camp legally in New Zealand.
Under the new rules, every vehicle needs a fixed toilet and a green warrant card – the old blue stickers no longer count, and plenty of older vans need work to get there. We’ll tell you straight what yours needs and do the job so it passes.
What's covered
Assessment against the current self-containment standard
Fitting fixed toilets, fresh and grey water tanks and sink setups
Certification and your green warrant card
Insurance repairs
We’re an approved insurance repairer.
If your van’s been damaged, bring it to us. We’ll assess it, deal with your insurer on the quote, and you get it back fixed properly rather than patched.
What's covered
Accident, storm and water damage
Floor, wall and roof rebuilds
Resealing windows, hatches and seams
Working direct with your insurer on assessment and approval
Upgrades & extras
The jobs that don’t fit a category but make the van better to live in.
What's covered
Awning supply and installation
Gas fitting – new appliances, bottle lockers, regulators
Interior and exterior cleaning
Imported caravan compliance and set-up for NZ roads
Selling your caravan
If you’re done with the road, we’ll sell your van for you.
We check it over, sort the certs so it’s ready to go, list it, handle the enquiries and tyre-kickers, and you get a call when there’s a serious buyer.
